Time and place

​

The day of the celebration is Saturday the 13th of September 2025

The party starts at 4 p.m. and ends when the last guests leave.

​

The event will be held at the Riimukivi farm
in Hurissalo, Puumala, and the address is:

All guests are warmly welcome 

from Friday September 12th until Sunday September 14th

Accommodation

​

Accommodation is available in tents in the Old Yard,

on mattresses in the Old Cottage, 

and in a nearby Hotel in Sahanlahti.

​

A discount for the wedding party has been arranged with the hotel.

​

From the hotel, we organize a shuttle to the venue on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
and the shuttle will run from the venue to the hotel every hour from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

​

 

Dress Code

​

As our wedding takes place on the border between the lands of the humans and the lands of the

forest folk, we ask that our guests will join us in their human form. Otherwise the dress code is free.

And who's to know how humans would even dress for this kind of occasion?

So if among the partygoers you should glimpse a bit of lichen in someone's hairdo, we do not fault anyone and understand that everyone has done their best. 

​

As for your attire, your favourite woollen sweater, a fantastic dress straight out of the folk tales,

or a comfortable party dress in the conventional or historical human style,

perhaps in earthy or forest tones, are all equally good. 

​

So put on your favourite outfit and come celebrate with us.

​

Please note that late summer evenings can be a bit chilly, and the party takes place mostly outside.

​

Gifts

​

It is the greatest gift for us that you attend. We do not need other gifts.

​

If, however, you want to remember us with something, the most meaningful gift for us

would be to donate to the restoration of the Riimukivi Historical Farm.

With a small gift we can get a hand forged nail, and together we can save a whole wall.

we can keep you for all of the Sunday too!

 

If you arrive the day before, there is a considerable risk you will be put to work,

as we will be decorating the venue on Friday evening

and it's all hands on deck. 

​

(Let us know if you will be arriving early but will be otherwise engaged.

That is perfectly fine too.)

​

On Sunday we intend to laze the day away with as many of you as we can.

Swimming and eating our way through the remnants of the dessert bar will

quite likely feature in our very easy schedule.
