Experience a night in the 1800s and stay in the Old Haybarn at Riimukivi Historical Farm. A visit to Riimukivi Historical Farm is like travelling back in time to Old Savonia 200 years ago. The old farmyard creates and idyllic setting: our friendly sheep wait to be scratched in the yard enclosure, and soot-pot coffee is brewing in the fire table. Our staff, dressed in period clothing, will gladly share stories about life in 19th-century Savonia. The barn accommodation is open from 23.6.-1.9.26. The farm's summer café and craft shop are open from 23.6.-8.8. (Tue-Sat) and 14.8.-29.8. (Fri-Sat), 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Accommodation and beds The Old Haybarn can accommodate 6 + 1 guests. The barn has two beds (80-160 cm wide, single/queen size) and a sleeping loft. The beds accommodate up to six guests in total. In addition, the barn's pull-out sofa can accommodate one guest under 170 cm (67 inches). Room price €120 per night (one person) €200 per night (2 people / €100 per person) €260 per night (3 people / €87 per person) €320 per night (4 people / €80 per person) €380 per night (5 people / €76 per person) €440 per night (6 people / €73 per person €480 per night (6+1 guests with sofa bed / €69 per person) 1800s Breakfast basket The room price includes a traditional-style breakfast basket with coffee or tea, delivered to your door at a time of your choice (6 a.m.-12 noon). Check-in is from 4 p.m., and check-out is by 12 noon. Amenities The barn has 8 USB charging points and a mini fridge, both discreetly hidden to preserve the rustic atmosphere. There are no standard electrical outlets in the Old Haybarn. If you require electricity for medical devices (such as a CPAP machine), please let us know in advance or at the latest upon check-in, and we will make arrangements. A composting outhouse is located next to the barn, considered the most beautiful outhouse in Puumala. There is no bathroom inside the barn. Washing facilities are available in the farm's sauna. The farm's private beach is 400 m (a quarter mile) away and available for swimming. For guests with infants, the outhouse includes a toddler seat and a larger accessible outhouse with a changing table is located on the other side of the yard. Sheets and towels are included in the price. Accessibility As with many historic farm buildings, the Old haybarn has a high threshold and a low doorway and is not suitable for most people with mobility-related disabilities.
