Experience cooking local traditional delicacies with your group at the idyllic Riimukivi Historical Farm! At Riimukivi Historical Farm you can experience the atmosphere of olden times in an authentic historical setting. Take a walk through the old garden, pet the friendly sheep, browse handcrafted goods in the Craft Shop, and enjoy traditional local delicacies, served by staff dressed in authentic historical clothing. If you would like to experience the traditional foods of South Savonia from a new perspective, bring your group to enjoy an open-fire cooking experience at the fire table of Riimukivi Farm. The dishes prepared over the fire gain their authentic flavour from the open flames and the aroma of the smoke. These dishes were enjoyed for hundreds of years by the people of Savonia in hay fields, cottages and farmhouses, as well as during festive gatherings. The dishes are selected according to the dietary preferences of the group, while highlighting the finest seasonal ingredients. The staff, dressed in period clothing, will guide you through the preparation of the food and gladly share stories about life in 19th-century Savonia. The activity takes 2-4 hours, depending on the group's preferences. The price of the event is 50€/participant. The activity is best suited for groups with 6-20 participants. All dishes are lactose-free. Vegan and gluten-free options are also available. If you wish, we can also prepare the dishes for you, allowing you and your guests to relax around the fire table and simply enjoy the evening. Please note that the activity is available only outside the peak summer season - from 8th August onward (Sunday-Thursday), and from September through May on any day of the week.
